2nd pick: #1 (Stormtoremember) (2-1) - The probable favorite, lightly raced 4-year-old was an impressive maiden winner here going 7-furlongs Aug. 27. It was his first since debuting here last Dec. and his rail draw in this field makes him a win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Thrills of Plenty) (6-1) - Lightly-raced gelding by "Dehere" set a pressured pace and held to finish third here at this level and distance Aug. 28. By far a career best and this 4-year-old has more room for upside. Win threat.
4th pick: #12 (Johnny's Slice) (9-2) - He draws a very tough post but has enough early speed to not let his overall chances too much. He was involved last out from gate-to-wire and was a 1/2 length better than "Thrills of Plenty" that evening. Must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #2 (Kip) (15-1) - He finished second here sprinting for a $7,500 tag Aug. 16. Claimed that day, he moves from a very high percentage barn to one that is 0 for 9 this year. May grab a share if he holds his form.
