2nd pick: #5 (Roman Gladiator) (3-1) - Debuting colt cost $210,000 and and is from a good barn (Boyd Caster). Initially prepped at Monmouth, son of 'Unbridled's Song' has worked four times locally since Aug 13. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Chevy's Pharaoh) (4-1) - One of two from trainer Steve Asmussen and the pair race uncoupled. NEW gelding tired badly when debuting April 16 at Oaklawn Park. On the sidelines since, he worked a sharp half-mile here Sept 5.
4th pick: #4 (Taprize) (6-1) - Home bred by leading sire 'Tapit,' he's been on the shelf since May 20. The second of the Asmussen pair, he was competitive in one of two starts last spring at Lone Star Park. Working fine, he's a factor if ready.
