Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (SAMMY'S MINESHAFT) (7-5) - Veteran has won two in a row in gate-to-wire fashion. Gelding scored at Canterbury Park Sept. 2 and won here Sept. 28. A repeat of either of those efforts makes him tough again this evening.
2nd pick: #3 (Classy Cove) (12-1) - Old timer ran evenly here at this level and distance Sept. 22. It was his first back from just under a 100 day break and stretch runner should be sharper today and at long odds.
3rd pick: #6 (Moyahua) (15-1) - Rare Mexican bred has been competitive in two straight at this level. He was beaten 2.5 lengths here Sept. 1 in his first since July 14. The faster the pace, the better his prospects.
4th pick: #5 (Gunsmoke N) (6-1) - State bred veteran moves up in class and shortens up in distance. No-speed type is capable of getting a share with his best, but will need a fast/or contested pace to develop for anything more than that.
