He has early speed and has been freshened up since tiring in a pair of starts on the So. California circuit during the summer. Working nicely for trainer Cody Autry and this 3-year-old gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Gladius) (5-2) - One-run type is going turf to dirt after a close up finish here as the favorite racing for a $25K tag. He had a tough outside post that day and weakened slightly after putting in a strong rally. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Vanderboom Ridge) (4-1) - Another going turf to dirt, this gelding by "Borrego" rallied to finish fourth at this level on Sept. 11 at Canterbury Downs. Nice effort and he draws the rail and runs with blinkers on for the first time.
4th pick: #6 (Blue Star Cat) (6-1) - He's another coming from Canterbury and last out was a "neck" better than "Vanderboom." That was a career best and he could factor if it's repeatable on the dirt.
