Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (MARCY'S GRAY GIRL) (3-1) - Texas bred filly drops back down in class and races with blinkers on for the first time. She tired while very wide after breaking from a tough outside post going a mile Oct. 27. In her previous start, she rallied to finish 2nd at this $20K level and 6-furlong distance Oct. 13. Daughter of the speedy'Too Much Bling' gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Ace Queen) (6-1) - Filly was only a bit bored than 2 lengths behind 'Marcy's Gray Girl' here at this level and distance Oct. 13. She raced both wide and evenly in her follow up Nov. 3 under similar conditions and today she gets a rider upgrade to David Cabrera.
3rd pick: #7 (Big Kitty Kitty) (9-2) - The lightly-raced filly has shown good early speed in both starts before weakening in the final furlong. She was 7.5 lengths behind 'Marcy's Gray Girl' Oct. 13 and needs to do better for anything more than a minor award. However, that's possible as she may be able to get an uncontested early advantage.
4th pick: #2 (Mexia) (7-2) - The filly is one of two making their debuts and is from the leading trainer here (Steve Asmussen). Originally prepared at Ellis Park, Asmussen (18% first out) ships her up from Lone Star Park for her first attempt.
