Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (PEPPER PLAY) (2-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer Steve Asmussen and the pair race uncoupled. Colt has been freshened up since finishing a close up fourth facing tougher when debuting at Indiana Downs Aug 7. He broke sharply that day and tired very late after setting a pressured pace. Barn drops him down and home bred is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Mapimi) (5-2) - Rare Mexican import has been competitive in both starts and finished second here Sept 21. Speed/stalker is making back-to-back starts for the first time and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Linda's Luck) (9-2) - Canterbury invader races off a positive trainer switch to Karl Broberg (31% with new arrivals). Colt by 'Lookin at Lucky' has shown early speed in two of his four starts and is dropping into a claimer for the first time.
4th pick: #8 (Border Pal) (4-1) - The second of the Asmussen pair, he's finished third in two straight here facing just a bit tougher. One-run type was no match for 'Mapimi' last out so he needs to improve for anything more than a minor award.
