Top pick: #2 (HUGHES) (4-1) - She moves back to the grass after finishing a strong second here when facing slightly weaker on a sloppy surface on Sept. 19. Daughter of "Henny Hughes" has done her best work on the grass and her early speed gives her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Motion in Potion) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly has shown noticeable improvement since moving to the turf two starts back. Strong finisher ran third here at this level on Sept. 12 and was only beaten a length. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Shoop Shoop) (6-1) - She's bred on both sides for grass success and will move to the infield in her second start. Trainer Steve Asmussen (25% second-time out), drops her into a claimer, adds blinkers, and stretches her out in distance.
4th pick: #1 (Golden Encore) (9-2) - Speed/stalker has had a lot of chances (13-0-1-1), but draws the rail and runs off a two-month freshening. She'll be involved most of the running, but needs to do better during the late stages.
