Top pick: #5 (SHY HUMOR) (3-1) - He's been freshened up since breaking his maiden in late March at Aqu. That score came off a 7 week break, a trainer change to Jeremiah Englehart, and was his first in blinkers. Working fine and he finished second on a similar surface earlier in his career. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Artie Ocean) (2-1) - Tampa shipper broke his maiden there on March 29th and he was impressive doing so. Speed/stalker is well-bred, has a fine local work since arriving and should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #3 (Hes a Cat) (4-1) - Speedy Arkie-bred went wire-to-wire when debuting at Oaklawn Park Feb. 18 and has been in over his head in his first pair facing winners. Gelding has a pair of fine back-to-back local half-mile breezes this month that suggest he likes the new surroundings.
4th pick: #1 (Monarch Destiny) (5-1) - Almost his entire career has been on this surface (29-1-5-7) and he'll be making his first start since late Sept. He was competitive off a similar layoff at this time last year and should get a solid pace to rally into. Can factor if ready.
