Top pick: #2 (PRONUNCIATION) (4-1) - He was scratched here last week and this looks like a better spot for him. Even paced type is coming off a pair of layoffs and is taking a big drop in class for his local debut. He has the best figures of this weak looking field and can take this in his synthetic debut.
2nd pick: #8 (Mr Miles) (3-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he ran a career best when finishing third here at level and distance May 19th. Grey colt began his career in a top barn (Ed Plesa Jr.) and his new connections have him headed in the right direction.
3rd pick: #7 (Redneck Lazy) (5-1) - Gelding ran well enough several times last fall to win this if the efforts are repeatable. However, his form has gone bad and he'll need to turn it around in his Presque Isle debut. He does have some speed, is dropping down, and stretching out.
4th pick: #4 (Sorocaima) (8-1) - Long time maiden rallied from far back to check in a distant fourth here at this level going 6-furlongs May 24th. He has back class and I like the fact that trainer Teresa Connelly brings him back quickly for this stretch out attempt.
