He runs today as a NEW gelding, takes a big drop in class, and is moving from conventional dirt to a 'poly' surface. A sharp work here May 21 signals he's all set.
2nd pick: #4 (Zanjet O) (6-1) - He ships in from Hazel Park where he rallied to finish third going 4-furlongs on a sloppy surface. Long time maiden usually puts in a late run and should do so again in this weak spot.
3rd pick: #7 (Shamrock Road) (5-2) - Gelding set the pace and tired to finish third of only four facing tougher here going longer May 26. Barn brings him back quickly, drops him to a new low, and cuts him back in distance.
4th pick: #8 (Buckeye Brutus) (4-1) - Unraced since Nov. 12th, he finished out 2014 in decent form racing on the Thistledown dirt. Son of 'Jump Start' has leading rider Gallardo aboard, so they must like his chances.
