Six-year-old rallied to finish fourth of 10, beaten 2-lengths racing at this level Aug 2. It was his best since returning and he won three in a row here late in the 2014 meet. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Rockfield) (3-1) - He was a length in front of 'Cosmo' last out in his second back from a 7-month absence. Steady and consistent 6-year-old has more speed than most and I almost made him the top choice. View him as the equal of 'Cosmo.'
3rd pick: #8 (No Delay) (5-2) - Six-year-old gelding was a 'neck' behind 'Rockfield' and a 1/2 length better than 'Cosmo' last out. Speed/stalker has been sharp in three straight here at this level and must be left in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #4 (Rockin Melody) (6-1) - He has absolutely no early speed and is 0-for-7 locally. He does fit on figures, but will need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a small slice.
