Top pick: #9 (DISCO BARBIE) (7-2) - Speed/stalker ships back from Arlington where she finished a wide and even third in a G3 stakes June 28. Freshened up since, filly is two for two locally, draws a nice outside post at this distance, and gets a slight edge in a strong field.
nd pick: #5 (Bodacious Barb) (4-1) - Mare has been well managed by her connections and enters off a near miss in a mile grass stakes at Mountaineer Park July 2. She likes it here at Presque Isle (4-3-1-0), and her flexible style is a plus.
rd pick: #4 (Come Acorkin) (6-1) - Veteran mare likes it here (9-3-1-2) and is cutting back in distance after a win here going a mile July 29. She'll be pretty far back early, but should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
th pick: #1 (Jane of All Trades) (10-1) - Speedy filly ships in from Monmouth where she tired badly in a turf stakes July 13. She has some back class and will be racing on a synthetic surface for the first time. Working nicely on the Fair Hill "poly" and a threat on the front end.
th pick: #8 (Capella Dancer) (20-1) - Longshot is very consistent and is stakes placed this year on the Finger Lakes dirt. Capable of impacting with her best, and at a big price.
