A career best, it was her second back of almost a half-year's absence. In her only other start on a synthetic surface, she missed by a 'neck' here when debuting here last August going six furlongs.
2nd pick: #1 (Construe) (9-5) - The probable favorite, she's well bred and lightly-raced. Daughter of 'Hard Spun' finished a pace-setting/pressing second here at this level June 6. It was her first on a 'poly' surface and first with lasix added. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Gracie's Way) (5-2) - Speed/stalker was almost two lengths in back of'Construe' last out and doesn't have the room for upside of that filly. Can grab a share, but needs to do better.
4th pick: #4 (English Belle) (6-1) - One oftwo entered by trainer Jonathan Sheppard and the pair race uncoupled. Well bred filly hasn't raced since an even effort when debuting in a two-turn grass contest at Delaware Park last July. May get a share if ready.
