Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (VAN DAMME) (9-2) - Colt ships in from Woodbine where he finished fourth in a pair of stakes on a similar surface. He broke his maiden here going a mile July 23 in his only previous local appearance. Stretch runner gets a slight edge in a very competitive $100K stakes.
nd pick: #9 (She'll Do It) (8-1) - One of two fillies entered that are taking on males. Lightly-raced home bred was a sharp debut winner going 5-furlongs at Woodbine Aug 8. Sent into a rich G2 stakes at a mile on the grass there Sept 12, she tired while racing wide. She's worked well since and trainer Reade Baker adds blinkers.
rd pick: #3 (Balk) (6-1) - He's won two in a row here and scored Sept. 6 in a $78K stakes going 6-furlongs in his first facing winners. He's worked sharply twice since and is a win candidate.
th pick: #10 (Cashel Rock) (4-1) - Undefeated (two for two), both wins have come sprinting on the grass. He's showed a lot of 'grit' in each and is a threat if he handles the synthetic surface.
th pick: #2 (Montaux Cove ) (7-2) - He's part of an Adam Rice trained entry with #2b 'Save the Drama.' Colt has gone two for four here this year and has a pair of sharp recent drills. Gelding has a flexible style and may grab a share with his normal effort.
