Top pick: #6 (TARIS) (3-1) - Talented daughter of "Flatter" has been entered an scratched a couple of times at this meet but continues to work nothing but bullets for her first since early March at Oaklawn Park. She won her first pair including a $100K stakes at Laurel in late January before tiring in a G3 stakes going around two turns. Only question tonight is if she can handle a synthetic surface as so far all her starts have been on real dirt.
2nd pick: #1 (J's Two Step Halo) (5-1) - Hard hitter ships back from Indiana Downs where she tired to finish fourth at this level racing on real dirt. Filly loves the local footing 4-1-3-0, has the rail, a speed/stalking style, and has a shot at pulling off a mild upset.
3rd pick: #2 (Purrfect Ride) (6-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, she enters off a career best when she went wire-to-wire here to score by almost five lengths at the previous allowance condition Aug. 20. Daughter of "Candy Ride" has worked since and still has room for upside.
