Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (VIVA LAD) (5-2) - Veteran is one of two entered by trainer Mike Trombetta and the pair race uncoupled. He was a very easy wire-to-wire winner here at this tag and trip May 23. It was his first start in seven months and he was winning for the sixth time in a dozen local starts. Can take another.
2nd pick: #1 (Ghost Hunter) (9-5) - He's four for five at Presque Isle and is dropping down in class after a third place finish on the Delaware Park dirt facing tougher June 8. Six-year-old has finished in the top three spots in 25 of 30 lifetime starts and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Fara's Kid) (8-1) - The second of the pair from the Trombetta barn, he raced very poorly here facing tougher June 20. Very consistent prior to that and gelding by 'Lemon Drop Kid' is brought back quickly for this attempt. Can impact at a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Capt. Zippounas) (5-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish second, 4.5- engths behind 'Viva Lad' here May 23. However, in his follow up start facing weaker June 16, he checked in an even third without threatening. Eight-year-old needs a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
