Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (WAR READY) (5-2) - He ships in from Laurel where he raced evenly in a grass sprint at this claiming price April 22. It was his first race in two-months and a good effort. Trainer Mike Trombetta has worked him twice since on a similar surface at Fair Hill and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Stay Determined) (3-1) - Consistent sort ships from Finger Lakes where he chased a 'much the best' and held down the place spot going 4.5 furlongs on the dirt April 18. The effort was complimented when the horse hat defeated him came right back to take another. Speedster has been competitive in six straight starts and should be again his afternoon.
3rd pick: #10 (Alligator Radio) (10-1) - Gelding tired after having some serious traffic issues sprinting on the Laurel grass facing tougher May 8. It was his first start in 10 months, so he most likely needed the race for conditioning purposes. Stalker drops in class and is tying a synthetic surface for the first time.
4th pick: #5 (C Em Smile) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, he's been on the sidelines since Oct 12. He returns a NEW gelding and he was an easy maiden winner here almost a year ago in his only previous start on a 'poly' surface. Dangerous if ready.
