Top pick: #6 (MASTER ACHIEVEMENT) (3-1) - Once classier type finished second here at this level and distance June 7. It was his second back off almost a 100-day layoff and only his second time in 30 starts on a synthetic surface. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Bluegrass Bull) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, he's been freshened up since April 12 when he ran second on the Tampa Bay Downs turf facing tougher. Competitive on synthetic surfaces in the past and he 'won' on the Turfway 'poly' Jan 18 only to be disqualified. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Beckham Bend) (5-1) - Veteran put in a mild rally to finish fourth, only a 1/2 length back of 'Master Achiever' last out. His outside post hurts his chance and he'll need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
4th pick: #7 (Time for Tutt) (15-1) - Longshot isn't a win candidate, but may grab a small slice with a late rally given that a few of these will be 'backing up' during the stretch run.
