It was her first back of a pair of layoffs and her first ever on a synthetic surface. Her trainer (Ron Potts, Jr.) is off to an excellent beginning at this long meet (17-6-1-3), and this filly is a threat right back.
3rd pick: #3 (Candid Cathy) (9-5) - Home bred was a visually impressive maiden winner here at this trip May 22 facing fellow Pa. bred special weights. It was her first in a year after racing on both grass and over the jumps in her first half-dozen starts. She's worked fast since and must be left in the small win mix.
