Top pick: #3 (PRONUNCIATION) (3-1) - He ships in from New York where chased and tired facing much tougher on the grass April 9th. That was his first since Feb 22 and he runs today for a new trainer (Anthony Ferraro). Gelding has early speed, meets a weak field, and should beat these.
2nd pick: #4 (Bold Senator) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he also has some speed and is dropping in class while moving from turf to dirt. His trainer (Ron Potts Jr.) does well at Presque Isle and he has his go-to rider Huber Villa-Gomez aboard. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Mr. Miles) (10-1) - Grey colt is well bred and lightly raced He finished second April 17th at Mahoning Valley, but ran very poorly in a follow up start May 1st at Thistledown. Son of 'Exchane Rate' may factor at a big price.
4th pick: #5 (Silent Patience) (7-2) - No-speed type is racing off a 2 1/2 month layoff and for a new trainer (John Gucciardo). Canadian bred has yet to finished better than third in 13-lifetime starts and believe a small slice of this is his ceiling.
