Top pick: #1 (ZENZELDA) (3-1) - Mare gets a slight edge after finishing third of eight, beaten a 1/2 length racing here at this level going 6-furlongs May 17th. It was her best overall since coming off almost a seven month layoff and it coincided with a return to this artificial surface.
2nd pick: #7 (Igotthemoneyhoney) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, mare is dropping down in class after rallying to finish second here racing for a $16K tag May 20th. She draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong distance and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Gottcha Classy) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly has been freshened up sine late March. She has some early speed, is dropping in class, and is racing on a synthetic surface for the first time. 4-year-old had a bullet 3-furlong breeze here May 24th.
4th pick: #4 (Flying Nurse) (8-1) - Filly exits the same May 17th local contest as 'Zenzelda.' She raced evenly that afternoon and was 4-lengths back of that rival. It was her first start in three months and first ever on a 'poly' surface. Can factor at a square price with some improvement.
