Top pick: #5 (Jet Streak) (7-2) - He ships in from Belmont Park where he raced both wide & evenly there on the grass May 9. He had a difficult post that day, but did well under the circumstances. Grey gelding by 'Tapit' is racing on a synthetic surface for the first time and is the horse to beat if he handles it.
2nd pick: #2 (Entry of 2-Pleasant Outlook & 2b-Beautiful Brown) (2-1) - Colt is part of a Wayne Rice trained entry, and he named separate riders at the time entries were taken. #2 'Pleasant Outlook' hasn't raced since last October when he ran evenly on the Belmont turf in his first pair. #2b 'Beautiful Brown' finished a pace-setting second on the Aqueduct grass April 17. We'll take either as our second choice.
3rd pick: #1 (Entry of 1-Twelve Noon & 1a-Sky City) (3-1) - Trainer Tim Hamm sends out an entry, and he has leading rider Tony Gallardo named on both halves. #1 'Twelve Noon' has the rail and good early speed. #1a 'Sky City' is another with early speed and is working fast for his first since March 21 at Tampa Bay Downs.
4th pick: #7 (Extrasexxyeurodude) (4-1) - Unraced since Oct. 14th, gelding chased and tired to finish third at this level and distance. Working well at Fair Hill for his return, trainer Mike Trombetta wins at a 21% clip off of lengthy absences.
