Top pick: #5 (BOLD SENATOR) (3-1) - Gelding moves up to face winners after breaking his maiden here going 6.5-furlongs at this $7,500 tag June 25. Four-year-old has improved since coming here from Tampa Bay and has gone 4-1-1-2 on the local all-weather surface. Nicely spotted, meets a weak field, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Indigo Kitten) (7-2) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he broke his maiden here June 25 at this tag. A career best it was his first on a 'poly' surface and first following a private sale. Four-year-old by 'Kitten's Joy' raced both wide and evenly at this level July 7 in his first facing winner. This field is not as talented as the one he faced that day and he's a strong win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #3 (Tacoma Park) (10-1) - Colt has some speed and is racing third back from a 10-month layoff. He was competitive last year at Arlington facing much tougher, but has not yet come close to that level since returning.
4th pick: #1 (Shamrock Road) (9-2) - He's another with some early speed and 3-year-old breaks from the rail. Capable of impacting, especially if he gets an uncontested early advantage.
