Top pick: #3 (COMANCHERIA) (2-1) - Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard won with his first two starters at this meet on yesterday's card. He sends out this 5-year-old who raced both wide and evenly facing tougher on the Pimlico grass May 7th. He had won two of three on the turf prior to that and can make his first start on a synthetic surface a winning one.
2nd pick: #6 (Double the Cheers) (4-1) - Gelding is stretching out in distance, dropping back down in class, and is another trying a synthetic surface for the first time. He broke his maiden at this distance last October on the Indiana Downs dirt and has more early speed than most entered.
3rd pick: #5 (Key for Success) (3-1) - Consistent sort ships in from Indiana Downs where he chased and held to finish third there racing at this level and distance May 1st. He's gone 16-2-5-1 overall and finished a respectable fifth in a Turfway Park sprint Dec 20 in his only previous effort on a synthetic track.
