Top pick: #6 (TOTAL FUTBOL) (4-1) - Colt has been freshened up since debuting here at this level June 15. Going 4.5-furlongs that day, he dueled through solid fractions before weakening late to check in fourth of eight, beaten 1 1/2 lengths. He's working above average for his return and is racing against fellow Pa. breds for the first time.
2nd pick: #2 (Coastal Bliss) (3-1) - Improving grey gelding rallied to finish second here at this level going 5-furlongs July 28. A career best, it was his first start in blinkers and first with Lasix. He's worked above average since and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #1a (Special Request) (7-2) - Filly once again takes on males after checking in third July 28, a length behind 'Coastal Bliss.' It was a positive move forward off her debut and came with lasix added. She's coupled in the wagering with #1 'Oreo Deelite' who has some impressive works on view for his debut.
4th pick: #7 (Trilogy) (8-1) - Long shot exits the same last race as both 'Coastal Bliss' and 'Special Request.' He was bet heavily, but did not break sharply while not keeping a straight course during the stretch run. Good small barn (Tom Cooper) brings him back quickly and colt can factor at a square price.
