Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (KINSLEY KISSES) (5-1) - $200K purchase is very lightly-raced and still has plenty of room for upside. From the Pletcher barn, she won both starts this past winter in Florida, one each at Gulfstream and Tampa Bay Downs. Last out at Keeneland, she finished third in a small field in the seven-furlong Beaumont Stakes (G3) April 17. She's worked fast on the Saratoga training track since then and speed/stalker is trying a two-turn distance for the first time.
2nd pick: #3 (Land Over Sea) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she's from the same human connections as the undefeated 'Nyquist.' Filly enters off of four straight solid stakes appearances and last out she rallied from far back to run second in the $1,000,000, Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs May 6. An obvious win candidate and I could have easily made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #5 (Go Maggie Go) (7-2) - Another that's very lightly-raced, she won her first pair at Gulfstream park before finishing a troubled fourth in the recent Kentucky Oaks (G1). Daughter of 'Ghostzapper' must be left in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #9 (Midnight On Oconee) (15-1) - Speedy filly went 6-2-3-0 before tiring badly in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) won by today's rival 'Land Over Sea.' Freshened up since that poor effort March 26, she's training nicely and may grab a share at a big price with her 'A' game.
