(# 6) THERMOSTATIC - Consistent as they come. Professional turf mare fits this group well. Enough dirt-speed types signed on so that the pace may be false, and come back to the field. Mare likes to pick it up at the half and make her run. Hasn't gotten it done in a while, but it's not for lack of trying.

(# 5) Whatadarlin - Dangerous runner, comes back after a late May vacation. First pair on the grass were excellent. Top trainer Estrada spots his horses well. Very tough if ready.

(# 10) Dolphin Star - Goes second off a two-month layoff, and only her second in a claimer. Was closer to the pace when in for a tag, but best races are from off the pace.

(# 9) Great Bridge - Another without much speed, but she has kept better company along the way than most entered here. Needs a good trip.
