Top pick: #4 (HASTA LUEGO) - He's taken to the grass much better this year than last, and is improving at this time. Gelding has developed into a nice speed/stalker and enters this off four strong tries since coming back from 10-month layoff. Can win this at a square price.
2nd pick: #8 (Raynick's Fan) - Runs third off a lengthy vacation (seven months) and just missed July 9 at Belmont in his second start of the year. He's raced here before and is (3-1-1-0) and his middle of the pack style combined with a fine late kick makes him dangerous.
3rd pick: #5 (Lord Kipling) - Much better on the dirt, he finished a close-up third here June 22 in a race originally scheduled for the turf. Veteran can gallop all day and in this 1 1/2 mile contest that "long winded" ability may come in very handy. Has faced tough competition his whole career and has a shot at the win with his best.
