Top pick: #6 (GIA NINA) - Fast filly comes off the sidelines after a three month layoff, but not to worry she's run well off of breaks in the past and is in a great layoff barn (Steve Klesaris 20% on that angle). She runs today at her lowest tag ever and has a nice work on Jan. 20 at Delaware. The top choice.
2nd pick: #4 (Bettern Biscuits) - Logical contender has been a steady performer for the past year and has run well on this surface after coming here from Ohio last fall. Now with Ed Auwarter she's a win threat from 3-4 lengths off the top.
3rd pick: #5 (Ambling Rose) - Claimed on November 5 at the Meadowlands by Pete Kazamias for $16,000 she raced evenly agsinst tougher on Nov. 30 and has been on the sidelines since. She has good speed/stalkinh ability and has beaten better in the past. Kazamias has good numbers off of layoffs, winning at a 19% clip.
