Top pick: #1 (MR. MUTTER) - Appeared to be a bit "short" at Penn National last out in his first race since last fall. He had stumbled badly in his seasonal debut in an off the turf contest and was pulled-up. Latest saw him race close-up and finishe evenly. Can take this from the hedge with a late move.
2nd pick: #10 (Sly) - Major player would be the top selection if he drew a better post. Likes to race close-up and make one run and he just failed last out at Belmont to a runner ("Caesar Beware") who would be a heavy favorite in this field. Can win this with the right trip.
3rd pick: #3 (Cat on the Line) - One run sprinter rallied late in the stretch at Penn National July 4 to finish a close-up third. It was only his second lifetime appearance on the grass and was encouraging. Stretch threat.
