Top pick: #3 (SURFSIDE CHIC) (5-1) - Well bred filly was bet down to 9-5 favoritism when debuting here March 29. Daughter of "Wildcat Heir" was never involved that day facing special weights on a very "muddy" surface. On the shelf since, she's training nicely for her return, and trainer Phil Aristone drops her way down in class. Pa-bred meets a weak field and can take this if ready.
2nd pick: #6 (Catinagram) (4-1) - Lightly raced filly has some early speed and is dropping down in class for this attempt. Daughter of "Cat Thief" is racing second off a "Lupe" Preciado claim, and she had a big bullet half-mile breeze here Oct. 18th. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Complete Game) (7-2) - Home bred by "Afleet Alex" tends to race evenly, and her connections will be dropping her to a new low and cutting her back in distance. She draws the rail, and the presence of Carmouche aboard for the first time suggests the barn likes her chances.
4th pick: #2 (Valid Melody) (5-2) - Another dropping to a new low in price, filly has regressed in her last pair after a near miss here at this trip racing against state-bred special weights on Aug. 11th. She should factor at this level.
