Top pick: #4 (POTICHE) (5-2) - Speed/stalker drops in class after finishing third here at this trip in a starter-allowance 11-days ago. Solid effort ran her local dirt record to 4-2-0-2 and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Prithee) (8-1) - Nicely bred filly enters off a career best when she went wire-to-wire here on Nov. 10 at this distance. Daughter of "Holy Bull" cleared the 2l condition that day and 4-year-old was claimed by trainer Jim Nicholson Jr. for $7,500. He brings her back quickly and moves her up in class. Dangerous rival.
3rd pick: #1 (Legomyborrego) (5-1) - Stalker also was an easy winner last out for $7,500 and moves from a top barn to a much lower-percentage outfit following a claim. She has back class, draws the rail, and is a big threat if she holds her form.
4th pick: #3 (Nutmeg) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly by "Lemon Drop Kid" ships down from Aqueduct where she raced evenly facing a bit tougher on Nov. 5. It was her first since late May and 3-year-old most likely needed the start. She's two for two locally and is dropping in class and racing with blinkers added.
