2nd pick: #4 (Cost Effective) (5-1) - He rallied to check in a non-threatening third here at this level and distance on Sept. 28. It was his first off Tony Dutrow claim, and this gelding has been in with some tough opponents during his career. He moves off the rail and should be closing fast.
3rd pick: #8 (Jrs Chilli Pepper) (6-1) - The second of the Farro pair, he has fine early speed and is moving way up in class this afternoon. Very sharp at this point, and this 3yo has gone 4-3-1-0 since early August. A win threat if he clears off without any pressure in the first 1/4 mile.
4th pick: #7 (Scam) (9-2) - Nicely bred colt was sold following a troubled start at Belmont Sept. 27. Former Phipps runner has talent and should get a fast pace to rally into as he makes his local debut for his new trainer (John Servis).
