Top pick: #4 (BARLOVENTO TIGER) (6-1) - Price play ships up from Gulfstream where he showed nothing in a pair of starts facing tougher. Freshened up since early Sept., son of "Big Brown" has a new trainer (Lisa Guerrero), and she makes a trio of changes. Both lasix and blinkers are added, and she drops him way down in class. New barn wins at a 27% rate with new arrivals and at the same clip off of lengthy layoffs.
2nd pick: #2 (Entry of 2-Calculus & 2b-Hot Stocker) (3-1) - "Calculus" enters off a pace-setting third place finish here at this tag on Nov. 2nd. A career best overall, it came fresh off a Ramon Preciado claim. "Hot Stocker" is a lightly raced stretch out sprinter and is dropping in class.
3rd pick: #6 (Analyst) (5-2) - He ships back from Penn National where he pressed the pace before weakening to finish third of six, beaten 21-lengths facing a bit tougher on Oct. 25th. Solid barn (Cal Lynch) drops him down and has him making back-to-back starts for the first time.
4th pick: #3 (Nick's Posse) (7-2) - New York shipper has raced evenly in all three sprints and is dropping way down in class and trying a two-turn trip for the first time. He has the rail, and it's noted that veteran Kendrick Carmouche is taking the mount.
