Top pick: #3 (STOURBRIDGE LION) (9-2) - Son of "Speightstown" just missed here at this level on Aug. 25 and he's been freshened up since. Stalker is from a sharp barn (Scott Lake) and this 4-year-old had a bullet half-mile breeze here Oct. 21. Looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #1 (Magical Fire) (5-2) - Another by "Speightstown", gelding enters in career best shape and was an impressive winner here at this level and distance just 10 days ago. He earned his top figure ever that afternoon and speedster breaks from the rail. Obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Jr's Chili Pepper) (5-1) - Very fast from the gate, he's gone 4-3-1-0 since early August and moves up in class for this attempt. He was scratched here last week out of a similar spot and is one of two entered in this race by trainer Patty Farro. A factor if he runs.
4th pick: #5 (Tek) (7-2) - The second of the Farro pair, Pa.-bred has a solid year going 10-2-3-2 and last out rallied to finish second when facing state-bred entry-level allowance foes. In career best shape and he should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
