Top pick: #7 (HE'S A SLAM DUNK) (5-2) - He's finished second in all four starts, and last out this speed/stalker chased and held down the place spot going a mile at Laurel just 11 days ago. In a capable barn (Greg Sacco), gelding draws a nice post at this 6.5-furlong trip, and can make his Philly debut a winning one.

2nd pick: #5 (What's Your Excuse) (5-1) - Grey colt moves back up in class in his first off a Roy Houghton claim. Pa-bred rallied to finish second for a $25K tag the day he was taken, and he's been competitive at this level in the past.

3rd pick: #8 (Power Generation) (6-1) - Son of "Pulpit" cost a whopping $560,000 as a 2yo in March of 2013. He did not race that year and tired on the Arlington "poly" when debuting this past July 6. Working nicely here for this attempt, and a win candidate at a square price.

4th pick: #1 (Freelander) (10-1) - Long time maiden hasn't seen action since the spring when he finished second in a pair of two-turn races at Penn National. He's gone 5-0-1-3 here in the past, but all of those starts were going longer. Has the rail, can factor if ready, but may be using this as a "prep."
