Top pick: #3 (CITY ANGELS) (3-1) - Stronach home bred ships up from Gulfstream where she raced evenly in all three starts facing much tougher on the turf. Daughter of "City Zip" has a new trainer (Jose Corrales 20% with new arrivals) and he drops her way down in class and moves her from grass to dirt.
2nd pick: #5 (Valid Melody) (4-1) - Long time maiden enters off a career best figure when she finished second here for a $15K tag going 7-furlongs Oct. 27. Grey filly is shortening up a furlong and moves up just a bit in class. Obvious threat.
3rd pick: #7 (All About Abby) (9-2) - "Abby" has finished second in six of twelve local dirt starts and has gone 4-0-2-1 at this distance. In shape and she's part of the three horse win mix.
4th pick: #1 (Philly Freedom) (8-1) - She showed some talent in her first pair here racing on the grass, but did not show much last out in her first on the dirt. She was almost 40-lengths back of "Abby" that afternoon, but something simple (equipment break, saddle slip, bleeding) may have led to the poor effort.
