Top pick: #9 (RED DIRT RACER) (3-1) - Gelding has finished second in three straight here at this level and stalker appears to have only one main rival. Four-year-old by "Brother Derek" gets a slight edge because he has two-turn experience.
2nd pick: #7 (Vaulted Heart) (2-1) - Lightly-raced and speedy he's stretching out in distance in his first off a Frank Pollara claim. Gelding by "Light Hearted" has taken heavy betting action in two of his three starts and probably has more talent than he's shown to date. Win threat.
3rd pick: #5 (Any Cat in a Storm) (6-1) - One-paced type tends to run evenly and last out was almost six lengths back of "Red Dirt Racer." He would benefit greatly if the top two picks get involved in a duel at some point. If not, a small slice is his ceiling.
4th pick: #1 (Jonny Boy Conn) (20-1) - Someone has to finish in the bottom rungs of the tri and/or super and this longshot draws the ground-saving rail. Grey gelding could grab a minor award at a very big price.
