Filly had finished third in her previous pair on the main-track and she has fine early speed when racing on the dirt. It's nice to see jockey Dan Centeno come in for the ride and this daughter of "Medallist" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Periwinkle) - Pennsylvania-bred raced both wide and evenly sprinting at Penn National facing state-bred special weights July 19th. Fits nicely at this price facing "open" company and she missed by a neck here last Dec. when racing here at this price and distance. Runs third back off 6 1/2 month layoff and is brought back in 12 days for this.
3rd pick: #6 (Wellington's Appeal) - She showed very sharp early speed before tiring when debuting just 9 days ago facing special weights and will drop into a claimer on the quick turnaround.
