Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (HEY KIDDO) (3-1) - Speed/stalker finished second here as the heavy favorite to today's rival 'Aunt Rose' Sept. 26. It was her first start since early May and she most likely needed the race. She's worked fast since and gets the edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Aunt Rose) (4-1) - Lightly-raced 3-year-old went right to the front from her inside post Sept. 26 and was never in any danger. She coasted home by almost five lengths and left 'Hey Kiddo' in the dust. Much improved and she's threat right back.
3rd pick: #5 (Almighty Storm) (8-1) - Hard-hitting veteran ships back from Penn National where she was a sharp winner at this distance facing 'open' company Oct 12. That ran her record at this trip to 18-7-3-1 and mare can factor today at a big price.
4th pick: #6 (Its a Journey) (10-1) - Stakes placed 3-year-old is shortening up in distance after finishing second here at this level going 8.5 furlongs Sept. 26. Strong finisher should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into. However, unless there's a complete pace collapse, a small slice is her ceiling.
