Top pick: #8 (MR. MIDNIGHT) - Gelding raced evenly here at this level going 5.5 furlongs on Oct. 27 in his first back off a nine week freshening. Trainer "Lupe" Preciado brings him back quickly and stretches him out in distance. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Indian Pow Wow) - The probable favorite, he's won two of his last three and both of those scores have come at this 7-furlong trip. Speedy sort has the rail and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Fleetwing) - He had some serious traffic issues during the stretch run on Nov. 6 and finished evenly once clear. Strong finisher had been in good form prior to that and can factor today at a square price.
4th pick: #10 (Awesome Kisses) - He exits the same last race as "Fleetwing" and grey gelding also had some traffic problems. In his previous race he'd finished second to "Pow Wow" and this 5-year-old likes this distance.
