Top pick: #5 (CRUSHIN ROCK) (4-1) - Home-bred runs third off a four month break and showed "sneaky" improvement last out. He was in fine form earlier this year on the NYRA circuit and looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #9 (Best Five) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he's finished fourth in his last pair here at this tag and stalker has a nice outside post this afternoon. Well-bred colt is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Ifrit) (12-1) - Speedy and lightly raced, he runs second back off a seven week freshening after being claimed by Kate DeMasi for $10K in late Sept. Has back class and his early speed makes him dangerous.
4th pick: #1 (Cryptonite Palace) (20-1) - Longshot has no speed, but two back rallied to finish second here at this level going 5.5 furlongs. He raced wide and evenly last out going a mile and the cut-back in distance is in his favor.
