Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (POLICE ESCORT) (7-2) - California invader is making his first start on the East Coast and does so for a new trainer (Jay Servis, 32%, with new arrivals). 3yo by 'Distorted Humor' was competitive in two of three late last year when he was in the barn of Bob Baffert. Working well at Belmont, he gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #11 (Harlan's Bear) (9-2) - Gulfstream invader is switching from turf to dirt and is shortening up in distance. Grey gelding has been competitive in both starts on the grass since being claimed by Ramon Preciado for $25K Jan. 3rd. His two works since shipping here are well above average.
rd pick: #8 (Smarty Mr D) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he's fast from the gate and has finished 2nd here at this level in his first two starts. An obvious win candidate, jockey Kendrick Carmouche, who is in from New York for the day has the mount.
th pick: #6 (Watch My Dust) (15-1) - Longshot ran evenly here in his local debut facing 'open' special weight foes March 19. It was his first in two months and first after coming from California. No speed type is in with fellow Pa-breds for the first time and may grab a share with a late rally.
th pick: #9 (Gloves Off) (8-1) - Very lightly raced, he finished a distant 3rd at Gulfstream Park facing $50K claimers at this distance Feb. 28th. Before shipping North, he had a pair of quick drills.
