Top pick: #5 (PIANIST) (9-2) - Lightly raced, she's really come to hand quickly for trainer Chad Brown. Speed/stalker come into this off a stakes win at Pimlico on the Preakness undercard, and a repeat of that career topper takes this.
2nd pick: #2 (Hessonite) (5-2) - Stakes winner many times over, New York bred won her seasonal debut at Belmont on May 4th, but didn't fire last out when racing on soft turf, which I don't think she cared for. Mare finished second in the 2012 edition of this stakes and is working sharply for this attempt.
3rd pick: #4 (Miz Ida) (3-1) - Since switching to the grass, filly has gone 11-7-1-0 and enters this off a win in a G3 stakes at Churchill Dwns on June 8th. Very steady performer and in shaoe 4-year-old is a threat with her best.
4th pick: #7 (Naples Bay) (12-1) - Trainer Chris Clement scratched her this past Sat. at Monmouth to await this spot. She raced evenly in her seasonal debut on May 4th and has been working well at Saratoga since then. Fits, has more speed than most, and mare will be a nice price.
