Top pick: #1 (FOREST RIM) (3-1) - Augustin home bred ships in from Delaware where he missed by a "nose" there at this level and distance Sept. 11. No speed type has the ground saving rail and can take this with a late move if he avoids any traffic issues.
2nd pick: #12 (Pirate's Pleasure) (5-1) - New York invader is working well for his first since Aug. 27 when he finished an even fourth at Saratoga. Gelding by "Mizzen Mast" is in a winning barn and has enough early speed to not let this post hurt his chances. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Personal Delivery) (7-2) - Lightly raced and speedy, gelding by "Big Brown" has won three in a row, the last pair of those coming on this course. He still has room for upside and should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #3 (Arion Silver) (6-1) - Much improved since coming back from a 10 1/2 month layoff in early July, speedy gelding has gone 4-2-2-0 since returning. Last out at Delaware, he set a quick & pressured pace and held to check in a "game" second. It was a career best overall, and jockey J.C. Caraballo comes in for the mount.
5th pick: #4 (Big Feat) (20-1) - Longshot comes off a "toss out" race when his jockey misjudged the distance. Home bred had been showing some improvement prior to that and has done well here in the past (6-2-1-0). May do some damage at a big price.
