Top pick: #4 (NAVAJO CO LO) (3-1) - Gelding comes off a sharp maiden win at Belmont Park on Sept. 27th, and he was re-claimed that day by trainer Nick Zito after losing him for two races. Well-bred runner is in career best shape, and showed much improved early speed in his New York win.
2nd pick: #8 (Mind Me Boys) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Ramon Preciado, and the pair race uncoupled. Lightly raced, he just missed at Churchill on Sept. 27th racing for a 415K tag in his first back off a two-month break. Claimed that day, new barn has him nicely spotted, and Preciado wins at a 20% rate first off the claim.
3rd pick: #3 (Sublime Twist) - Speedy Monmouth shipper drops out of allowances for Jersey-breds, and goes turf to dirt for trainer Tim Kelley. Win candidate at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (Summa Cum Boom) (8-1) - He was a sharp maiden winner sprinting here on Sept. 30th, and will be stretching out in distance for his first facing winners. In a winning outfit, and I think he'll do well at long odds.
