Top pick: #5 (PRIMO VIA) (5-2) - Veteran mare enters this in very sharp form on the dirt and is the main speed. Since being claimed by trainer Phil Aristone in late Oct., she's gone 9-3-3-1, and although she's winless on the grass, I still like her chances.
2nd pick: #1 (Entry of 1-Sweets Galore & 1a-Nickerdoodle) (6-5) - Both parts of this Patty Farro trained entry have a solid shot, but I prefer "Nickerdoodle" of the pair. Filly ships down from Belmont off a turf win on May 14, and that was a career best. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Garmentos Girl) (8-1) - Beautifully bred filly moves up in class, stretches out in distance, and goes dirt to turf, all in her first off a Kate DeMasi claim. Daughter of "Indian Charlie" has the rail and is a threat at a big price.
