Top pick: #4 (SHE'S ORDAINED) (7-2) - Hard-hitting filly has won nine of 20 overall, and ran a career best here two back when she went gate-to-wire in a starter-allowance facing weaker. 4yo followed that up with a third place finish at Pimlico on May 5. Freshened up for the past month, she doesn't need the lead to be successful, and that flexibilty will prove decisive in this talented field.
2nd pick: #1 (Quality Lass) (2-1) - Since shifting here in January and moving to conventional dirt, talented filly has gone (5-3-2-0) and come back from Pimlico where she won a grass sprint on May 5. In shape, working fast, has the rail, the best early speed, and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Great Lookinblonde) (5-1) - Very competitive (14-5-5-3) mare has spent her entire career on this surface and is 6-3-2-1 at this distance. Racing back into shape following several layoffs, and she finished second at this level and distance on May 13. In the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Zaphyra) (9-2) - No speed type enters off a pair of layoffs and when last in action she finished third against better going a mile at Aqueduct March 29. Training fine for her return, but all of her success has come going longer. In a good barn (Bruce Levine) and her best chance would be if a fast and/or contested pace were to develop.
