Top pick: #8 (MARILYN'S GUY) (9-2) - Veteran finished second here at this level on Nov. 23rd, and is back in form following several layoffs of varying length. He has a stalking style and draws a nice outside post at this 7-furlong distance to use it from.
2nd pick: #7 (Javerre) (3-1) - The "class" of the field, stakes winner is training sharply for his first since showing little in the G1 "Forego" at Saratoga. If he's ready with his best, the rest are running for second money.
3rd pick: #5 (Quepos) (7-2) - Very consistent veteran has had an excellent year (11-5-1-3), and has gone 3-1-1-1 since shifting here from Monmouth at the end of their meet. Working nicely, and professional sprinter must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Ricky Tick) (10-1) - He's in career best form, but faces a very "salty" group for the level, and a small slice may be his ceiling as this contest drew tough.
