Top pick: #9 (STORM THE FIELD) - Gelding has been competitive in his last four starts since dropping down in claiming price in late September. He has both speed and stalking ability, cuts back in distance for this attempt, and leading rider Carmouche is named this afternoon. Five-year-old cuts backs to his best distance and he draws a great post. Much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Omaha Beach) - Veteran doesn't have any speed, but has put in a good late run and all three of his starts since coming back from a 11 month layoff in early Nov. Seven-year-old likes this distance and should be closing fast.
3rd pick: #7 (Billinage) - Once classier runner rallied to win last out in his second start off a Bob Moscoe claim. Six-year-old gelding has some positional speed and can contend today with a repeat of his last effort.
